PYHA Now Accepting Board Applications
The Peoria Youth Hockey Association (PYHA) is a 501c3 non-profit organization managed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The Board meets regularly to drive the strategic planning and policy decisions that support the PYHA mission and provide fiscal oversight.
The Board’s input is critical in keeping the organization relevant and evolving to meet member needs while staying true to its purpose and values.
Board Responsibilities
- Committing to a 3 year term
- Attending monthly Board meetings
- Proactively participate in setting and implementing the strategic plans
- Being prepared to discuss the issues and business on the agenda and having read all background material relevant to the topics at hand
- Accepting responsibility for the organization’s financial accountability
- Completing assigned tasks and respond to communication promptly
- Respecting and valuing the diversity of opinions
- Supporting Board decisions even if they differ from personal recommendations
- Putting the interests of the organization above personal interests
The Board is an integral part of shaping the future of PYHA. We are passionate about hockey and understand the positive impact the sport can have on our players and their families.
